What an Adult Day Care Program?

Adult Day Care, now commonly referred to as Adult Day Services in Minnesota, provides a safe, structured daytime program for older adults who need supervision, socialization, activities, meals, or support during the day while continuing to live at home.

Adult Day Services help older adults stay active, engaged, and connected to their community while giving family caregivers time to work, rest, attend appointments, or manage other responsibilities.

Many families use Adult Day Services as a step between complete independence and more intensive care options such as assisted living or nursing homes.

Participants attend one to five days a week, joining engaging activities, receive supportive daytime care, while giving caregivers time to rest and recharge.
